CVE-2015-10091Network attack vector

System-preference disclosure via unbound SQL names

Published Mar 6, 2023 · Updated Aug 6, 2024

SQL injection in ByWater Solutions ByWater Koha XSLT allows remote authenticated users to read unrelated system preferences. StringSearch in admin/systempreferences.pl places each name returned by get_local_prefs() directly inside a quoted SQL IN clause instead of binding it as data. Exploitation requires high-privilege access to create a Local Use preference, and a crafted name changes the WHERE predicate so unrelated preference records are returned.
