SQL injection via improperly quoted REST filter values
Published Feb 21, 2023 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
SQL injection in Irontec Klear Library chloe allows remote authenticated users to read or alter database data via REST filters. Controller/Rest/BaseController.php::_prepareAdvancedCondition passes advanced filter operands in wrapper objects to array cleaning and SQL quoting instead of extracting and binding the contained values. Reachability requires low-privileged access from an adjacent network to a Klear-based site's REST controller; effects are limited to the backing database operations exposed there.
