CVE-2015-10070Network attack vector

Database compromise via unparameterized user cookie queries

Published Jan 19, 2023 · Updated Aug 6, 2024

SQL injection in Copperwall Twiddit allows remote attackers to read or alter database data through a crafted user cookie. In index.php, the /feed and /subreddits handlers interpolate the user cookie directly into SQL WHERE clauses instead of binding it as a query parameter. Authentication is not required, and successful injection can compromise data handled by the application's database.
