SQL injection via interpolated card values
Published Jan 19, 2023 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
SQL injection in viakondratiuk cash-machine before 2015-03-22 allows remote attackers to execute SQL via a crafted card number. In get_card, machine.py strips hyphens from cc_number and interpolates the remainder into a SELECT statement; block_card likewise interpolates a session-derived card ID into an UPDATE. The Pyramid web application requires no privileges under the primary CVSS assessment, and successful injection can read, modify, or delete its SQLite data or interrupt service.
