Database data exposure via unescaped query inputs
Published Jan 17, 2023 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
SQL injection in pokemon-database-php allows remote attackers to read database data through crafted input to public web endpoints. The golpes.php lookup and registration and strike-management handlers concatenate request values into mysql_query SQL strings without escaping. The golpes lookup requires no authentication, while strike creation and editing require an administrator session; the demonstrated behavior permits attacker-controlled database queries.
