SQL injection via interpolated RNA search parameters
Published Jan 15, 2023 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
SQL injection in Brandonfire miRNA Database by PHP MySQL allows attackers to read or alter database data through crafted search values. In inc/model.php, select_single_rna, count_rna, and select_rnas interpolate RNA-name and tissue values directly into PDO query strings instead of binding them. The public record does not establish an authentication gate or the database account's privileges, so the reachable data scope is unspecified.
