Authenticated script execution via unescaped template values
Published Jan 15, 2023 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
XSS in Overdrive Eletrônica Course Builder 1.0 through 1.7 allows remote authenticated users to run script in an editor user's browser. The OEditor Jinja template inserts URL, caption, module, and message values into single-quoted JavaScript strings without js_string escaping. Exploitation requires low-privileged authenticated access and another user's interaction, and the injected script can access or alter data available to that editor session.
