CVE-2015-10042Network attack vector

SQL injection via incorrectly escaped registration login

Published Jan 13, 2023 · Updated Nov 25, 2024

SQL injection in AIBattle's registerUser function allows remote attackers to alter database queries through a crafted postLogin value. In site/procedures.php, registerUser escapes the derived login variable instead of the original postLogin value that reaches the SQL operation. The registration path requires no established account, and successful injection grants access limited to data and operations available to the application's database user.
