CVE-2015-10029

Authenticated file disclosure via external entity resolution

Published Jan 7, 2023 · Updated Apr 9, 2025

XXE in Kelvin Mo SimpleXRD before 3.1.1 allows remote authenticated users to read files through crafted XRD documents. The SimpleXRD::load method passes caller-supplied XML to XMLReader::xml without LIBXML_NONET, permitting external entity resolution. Exploitation requires a consuming PHP application to pass attacker-controlled XRD content to the library; entity resolution can disclose files, trigger outbound requests, or consume resources.
