SQL query manipulation via unvalidated dataset name
Published Jan 6, 2023 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
SQL injection in Hasso-Plattner-Institut ProLOD allows remote authenticated users to alter SQL queries through a crafted dataset name. DatabaseConnection methods interpolate dataset or table identifiers into SQL without validation; the patch adds an alphabetic-only validator at each affected call site. Reachability requires low-privileged adjacent-network access, and database permissions bound which records can be read or changed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
