SQL injection via unneutralized region parameter
Published Jan 6, 2023 · Updated Nov 25, 2024
SQL injection in OpenSim Utils regionscrits.php allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries through the region argument. DatabaseForRegion incorporates the region value into an SQL command without neutralizing special elements, allowing the input to change the intended query. The gate is authenticated adjacent-network access, with exposure or alteration of database data and service interruption as bounded consequences.
