Script execution via unescaped url parameter
Published Feb 19, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Reflected XSS in remotereporter/load_logfiles.php in Netsweeper 4.0.3 and 4.0.4 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary script via url. The endpoint returns the url parameter in an HTML response without neutralizing script markup. Exploitation requires a targeted user to open a crafted request, allowing script execution in that user's browser context.
