Client-side script execution via unneutralized HTTP inputs
Published Feb 8, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Open-School Community Edition 2.2 allows remote attackers to inject script or HTML through crafted HTTP requests. The index.php endpoint places the YII_CSRF_TOKEN cookie and StudentDocument, StudentCategories, or StudentPreviousDatas parameter values into generated pages without neutralizing browser-interpreted markup. A victim must interact with the crafted content, after which the injected code executes within the affected site's browser context and can read or alter session-accessible data.
