Unauthenticated code execution via unrestricted PHP upload
Published Feb 8, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in Creative Contact Form before 1.0.0 for WordPress and 2.0.1 for Joomla allows remote attackers to execute PHP code. The bundled server/php/UploadHandler.php accepts PHP files without blocking executable types and stores them under a web-accessible files/ path. No authentication is required; directly requesting the stored file executes its code with the web server's privileges.
