Remote code execution via accessibility WebView bridges
Published Feb 7, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Code execution in Android before 4.4.0 allows remote attackers to run arbitrary code through malicious JavaScript loaded in a WebView. AccessibilityInjector injects the accessibility and accessibilityTraversal Java objects into every WebView, exposing native methods to untrusted page scripts. Exploitation requires an enabled accessibility service and a WebView that loads attacker-controlled content; code runs with the host application's permissions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
