CVE-2014-6287Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vectorHinoki check available

Unauthenticated command execution via null-byte macro-filter bypass

Published Oct 7, 2014 · Updated Oct 22, 2025

Command injection in Rejetto HFS (HTTP File Server) 2.3 through 2.3b allows remote attackers to execute programs via search requests. The findMacroMarker function in parserLib.pas uses a regular expression that mishandles null bytes, allowing macros after a %00 sequence to bypass filtering and execute. Exploitation requires access to the server's search feature but no authentication; commands run with the server process's permissions.
