Unauthenticated credential disclosure via hostdetails endpoint
Published Jan 13, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Credential disclosure in ManageEngine EventLog Analyzer 7 through 9.9 build 9002 allows remote attackers to read managed-host administrator credentials. The hostdetails servlet accepts attacker-chosen slid and hostid values and returns Windows or AS/400 superuser names and passwords encoded with XOR 0x30 and Base64. No authentication is required, and the exposed credentials permit access to the managed systems.
