CVE-2014-5381Public exploitNetwork attack vector

PIN recovery via unrestricted UDP brute force

Published Jan 13, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024

Insufficient PIN verification in Granding Grand MA 300/ID firmware 6.60 allows remote attackers to recover the access PIN over UDP. The UDP service on port 4370 accepts repeated command 1102 authentication packets and reveals success for a correct weakly encoded PIN, enabling a 65,536-value search. Network access to that service is sufficient, and the recovered PIN grants authenticated controller access; no code execution is established.
