Authenticated command execution through editpl.php
Published Jan 10, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Command execution in Status2k's admin/options/editpl.php allows remote authenticated users to run arbitrary operating-system commands. Public records name the handler but do not disclose the request parameter, command-building operation, or validation failure that reaches command execution. An authenticated network session is required; successful exploitation runs commands with the web application's privileges and can read, alter, or interrupt host resources.
