Unauthenticated administrative access via missing exit
Published Jan 10, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Authentication bypass in Sphider before 1.3.6, Sphider Pro before 3.2, and Sphider Plus before 3.2 allows remote attackers to access administration. The auth.php failure path accepts supplied credentials without validating them and continues because it lacks a terminating exit operation. Network access to admin.php or auth.php is sufficient to enter the administrative interface without a valid account.
