Stored script execution via unneutralized management fields
Published Feb 11, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in MyBB before 1.8.4 allows remote authenticated users to inject script through profile and user fields. The Admin CP user-users actions and Mod CP finduser and editprofile actions render attacker-controlled title or name values without neutralizing active HTML. Administrative or moderator access is required, and execution occurs when another user views an affected management page.
