Administrator impersonation via unencoded myurl reflection
Published Jan 31, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Reflected XSS in Alcatel-Lucent 1830 Photonic Service Switch 6.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The menu/pop.html handler returns the myurl parameter without output encoding and also accepts non-local URLs. A logged-in administrator must open the crafted URL; successful execution permits session impersonation or redirects the browser to an attacker-chosen site.
