Arbitrary script injection via unsanitized CGI parameters

Cross-site scripting in Ex Libris ALEPH 500 18.1 and 20 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via tag_m.cgi parameters. The cgi-bin/tag_m.cgi handler reflects the find, lib, and sid query parameters into generated pages without adequate output encoding, allowing attacker-controlled script or markup to execute in a victim's browser. Exploitation requires a remote attacker to deliver a crafted link and a victim to follow it; resulting script execution can read or alter data available to that browser session.
