CVE-2014-3119Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary SQL execution via unsanitized request parameters

Published Jan 31, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024

SQL injection in web2Project 3.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL commands through contacts and contact-update requests. The contacts search_string and updatekey parameters reach SQL-backed handlers without sufficient character filtering, allowing crafted input to alter queries. Authenticated access is required for the contacts path, while update endpoints are remotely reachable; successful injection can read or modify database data and disrupt service.
