Unauthenticated SQL execution via MARC framework import
Published Jan 24, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
SQL injection in affected Koha releases allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL without authentication via the MARC framework tool. The admin/import_export_framework.pl endpoint exposes MARC framework import and export without authentication and accepts SQL as a supported data format, enabling submitted SQL commands to reach the database. No account is required; commands permitted by the Koha database context can read or alter data and interrupt database-backed service.
