Unauthenticated file disclosure via unchecked temporary-file path
Published Jan 24, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Path traversal in affected Koha releases allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files from the server through tools/pdfViewer.pl. The script treats the tmpFileName request parameter as a filesystem path without restricting it to the intended temporary-file directory. No authentication or user interaction is required; disclosure is limited to files readable by the Koha web-server process.
