CVE-2014-1409Network attack vector

Unauthenticated configuration disclosure via blind XPath injection

Published Jan 8, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024

Blind XPath injection in MobileIron VSP before 5.9.1 and Sentry before 5.0 allows remote attackers to retrieve configuration data. The j_username parameter at /mics/j_spring_security_check is inserted into an XPath query that can be manipulated to extract the underlying XML configuration document. No authentication is required; exposed obfuscated passwords can disclose domain credentials and enable takeover of the appliance and connected systems.
