CVE-2014-125118Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via crafted login password

Published Jul 25, 2025 · Updated Apr 7, 2026

OS command injection in MicroWorld eScan Web Management Console 5.5-2 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands. The login.php handler passes a semicolon-prefixed pass parameter into command processing without neutralizing injected shell syntax. A valid username is sufficient; commands run with mwconf privileges, and the runasroot utility permits escalation to root.
