Unauthenticated code execution via installer configuration injection
Published Jul 25, 2025 · Updated Apr 7, 2026
Remote code execution in Hybridauth 2.0.9 through 2.2.2 allows remote attackers to execute PHP through the exposed installer. The install.php handler substitutes POST values into a PHP configuration template and writes config.php without neutralizing executable syntax. Exploitation requires install.php to remain web-accessible and config.php to be writable; the write replaces the configuration and leaves the application unusable.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
