Reflected XSS via unsanitized AJAX error output
Published Mar 31, 2024 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Reflected XSS in Iptanus File Upload 2.4.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through AJAX error output. The wfu_ajax_action_callback function prints raw session, POST, user, and parameter data when token or user checks fail instead of HTML-encoding those values. Exploitation requires low-privilege access and victim interaction; injected script executes in the victim's browser-rendered page.
