Memory corruption in Nanopb before 0.3.1 allows remote attackers to crash applications or execute code via crafted protobuf data. pb_dec_string adds one to an attacker-controlled 32-bit length without rejecting wraparound, while pb_dec_bytes computes a wrapped allocation size before copying the declared data. The input must reach pb_decode; impact ranges from a one-byte null overwrite and application crash to heap corruption or code execution under the platform and stream conditions documented upstream.
