Reflected XSS via unescaped email attribute
Published Apr 9, 2023 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Cross-site scripting in BestWebSoft Contact Form 1.3.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via a crafted email value. In bws_menu/bws_menu.php, bws_add_menu_render places a rejected bwsmn_form_email value directly into an HTML input value attribute without context-appropriate escaping. A valid WordPress nonce and access to the system-status form are required, and another user must load the injected output for script execution.
