Authenticated SQL injection via unescaped thread identifier
Published Feb 5, 2023 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
SQL injection in Gimmie Plugin 1.2.2 allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries via crafted t input. In trigger_ratethread.php, the handler inserts POST t directly into a thread SELECT and then queries on its returned postusername without escaping either value. A logged-in forum account with network reach is required; public evidence establishes query manipulation but no specific data-loss or service-impact outcome.
