CVE-2014-125080

Server-side file inclusion via unsanitized path segments

Published Jan 16, 2023 · Updated Aug 6, 2024

Path traversal in FrontAccounting FA Planet before 2014-05-21 allows remote authenticated users to include server-side files. The local_extension() and install_hooks() paths used module and session-language identifiers directly in file_exists() and include_once() calls without filename sanitization. An authenticated user able to influence either identifier can traverse outside the intended modules or language directory and execute included PHP in the application context.
