Stored XSS via uncast job-order identifiers
Published Jan 2, 2023 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in the Jobs-Plugin WordPress plugin allows remote authenticated users to inject script through crafted job-order identifiers. The hrm_jobs_save_order function splits the POST order value and passes each unvalidated item identifier to wpdb.update without the integer cast added by the patch. Low-privileged access and user interaction are required; successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled script in a victim's browser.
