Privileged information disclosure via interceptor race
Published Jan 2, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Race condition in gatein-wsrp for Red Hat JBoss Portal 6.2.0 allows remote attackers to read privileged information through a WSRP endpoint. GTNSubjectCreatingInterceptor handles concurrent request processing without safe synchronization, allowing overlapping or slow SOAP messages to cross security contexts. Exploitation requires WS-Security on the WSRP Consumer, high concurrency or slow SOAP execution, and simultaneous privileged use of the endpoint.
