Unauthenticated code execution via unrestricted JSP upload
Published Jan 27, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in ManageEngine DesktopCentral 7.x and 8.0.0 before build 80293 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. AgentLogUploadServlet accepts an unauthenticated POST body and attacker-controlled filename without restricting executable JSP content, placing the file in the webroot. A direct request to the uploaded JSP executes it as SYSTEM, granting an unauthenticated network attacker control of the server.
