Remote camera access via hard-coded credentials
Published Feb 12, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Hard-coded credentials in Stem Innovation IZON IP firmware 2.0.2 allow remote attackers to access camera streams and configuration. The Linux firmware embeds three fixed Telnet accounts, while the hidden web application accepts a fixed user credential that cannot be changed normally. The Telnet accounts grant shell access, while the web account exposes live video, configuration details, and third-party API keys.
