Arbitrary file disclosure via unsanitized timestamp traversal
Published Jan 27, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Path traversal in AlienVault OSSIM before 4.3.3.1 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files through its web interface. The /ossim/ocsreports/tele_compress.php script fails to sanitize traversal sequences in the timestamp parameter before resolving a download path. No authentication or user interaction is required, and disclosure is limited to files readable by the web server account.
