CVE-2013-4521Network attack vector

Remote code execution via unrestricted object deserialization

Published Feb 6, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024

Unsafe deserialization in RichFaces for Nuxeo Platform 5.6.0 before HF27 and 5.8.0 before HF-01 allows remote attackers to execute code. ResourceBuilderImpl.getResourceDataForKey passes decoded request bytes to ObjectInputStream.readObject without restricting resolved classes. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation runs attacker-selected code in the server process.
