System information disclosure via exposed phpinfo endpoint
Published Feb 18, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Information disclosure in Portable phpMyAdmin 1.4.1 allows remote attackers to read PHP configuration details through a direct web request. The bundled pma/phpinfo.php endpoint invokes phpinfo() without enforcing the expected WordPress access path, returning system, environment, and PHP configuration data. No account or user interaction is required; the attributed impact is limited to information emitted by phpinfo(), not database modification.
