CVE-2013-3936Network attack vector

Session-context script execution via unescaped web parameters

Published Jan 2, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024

Cross-site scripting in Opsview before 4.4.1 and Opsview Core before 20130522 allows remote attackers to inject script through web requests. The Opsview Web event template interpolates host and service parameters into JavaScript arrays, while the refresh template inserts post_body without JavaScript escaping. Execution requires a victim to view the generated response, placing injected script in that victim's browser session.
