Unauthenticated code execution via remote file inclusion
Published Feb 17, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
File inclusion in Zabbix 2.0.6 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through crafted requests to the report6.php frontend. The CGI accepts a remote URL in attacker-controlled items array parameters without adequate sanitization, enabling inclusion of attacker-hosted content. The frontend must be network-reachable; no credentials or user interaction are required, and successful inclusion runs code in the web-server context.
