Authenticated browser script execution via stored content
Published Feb 7, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in ProjectPier 0.8.8 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user's browser. The published advisory does not identify the input field, storage location, or output routine that fails to neutralize attacker-controlled content. Exploitation requires a logged-in attacker to store content and another user to view the affected page, exposing that user's session data or allowing actions in that user's security context.
