CVE-2013-3628Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated server command execution via script creation

Published Feb 7, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024

Arbitrary command execution in Zabbix 2.0.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands on the Zabbix server. The web interface permits an authenticated administrator to create a script payload, register a loopback host, and invoke that script on the server. Administrative credentials and network access to the frontend are required, and successful exploitation runs commands with the Zabbix server process's privileges.
