Script execution via unescaped HTTP interface output

Cross-site scripting in VideoLAN VLC Media Player before 2.0.7 allows remote attackers to execute script through the HTTP interface. The Lua HTTP templates write command results and request-derived error details into HTML without escaping special characters, so crafted command, dir, or URI values become executable markup. The HTTP interface must be enabled, and a victim must load the crafted response; the script then runs in that browser's VLC-interface origin.
