Unauthenticated sensitive-file disclosure via exposed directories
Published Jan 29, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Information disclosure in Foscam FI8620 firmware allows remote attackers to read sensitive files through unauthenticated HTTP requests. The web server exposes files under /tmpfs/ and /log/ without access checks, including logs, DDNS settings, and backups containing credentials and Wi-Fi configuration. Access requires network reachability but no authentication; backup credentials are exposed only after an operator or administrator runs the backup process.
