Remote command execution via unneutralized ap parameter
Published Jan 29, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
OS command injection in Zavio IP Cameras 1.6.03 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through the ap parameter. The wireless_mft.cgi endpoint passes the ap value into an operating-system command without neutralizing shell separators, causing an appended command to execute. Access uses a non-removable hard-coded manufacture account, enabling command execution and disclosure of stored camera-user credentials.
