Unauthenticated CGI access via hard-coded manufacturing credentials
Published Jan 29, 2020 · Updated Aug 6, 2024
Authentication bypass in Zavio IP Cameras 1.6.03 and earlier allows remote attackers to reach restricted manufacturing CGI endpoints. The Boa boa.conf file embeds a hidden manufacturing account whose fixed credentials authorize requests to manufacture.cgi and wireless_mft.cgi. Network access to the web interface is sufficient; the account exposes otherwise restricted functions and can serve as the authentication gate for separate flaws.
