Device control via zero-key exchange

Key-exchange authentication bypass in Z-Wave S0 allows physically proximate attackers to spoof encrypted device-control traffic. An affected firmware key-exchange handler loads a hard-coded 16-byte zero temporary key without first validating the network key already provisioned in EEPROM. Exploitation requires radio range and packet-injection hardware; it can replace the shared key and send unauthorized commands to locks or other devices.
